Description
ESD 123 in collaboration with The Mid-Columbia STEM Education Collaboratory and Code.org is offering Computer Science in Algebra. This course is for middle school science teachers; including self paced on-line work and school year follow up meetings. A teacher stipend is available for the first 15 registrants.
- Developed by Code.org and Bootstrap
- Teaches algebraic and geometric concepts through computer programming
- Uses the context of video game design.
- Shifts classwork from abstract pencil-and-paper problems to a series of relevant programming problems,
- Demonstrates how algebra applies in the real world, using an exciting, hands-on approach to create something cool.
