Join me for coffee over a couple of Saturday mornings to learn how to engage your K-5 students in the 8 mathematical practices. We know what they are, but how do we get students to engage in them? This series will give you strategies to use in your classroom so that students will make them part of their mathematical learning. Explore the strategies with hands-on activities and rich discussion around the 8 mathematical practices.
Session 1: We will focus on Math Practices 1, 6, 2, and 3
Session 2: We will focus on Math Practices 4, 5, 7, and 8

This class is geared toward grades K-5, and will include the book, Engage in the Mathematical Practices: Strategies to Build Numeracy and Literacy with K-5 Learners
