Introduction to LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Robotics at the Elementary Level
Administered by OSPI
Instructor: Doug Ferguson, Washington STEM Teacher of the Month for the month of May!
Due to the generous support of FIRST Washington, we are able to offer this class at a fantastic price! They will be providing the facility, computers, robot kits, and licenses for your class! You just need to bring a personal computing device or preferred method of taking notes, patience for non-techies in the class, and a willingness to work through frustrations.
This workshop is a basic introduction to using the LEGO EV3 Robotics Kits at the elementary (3-6) level but is open to all K-12 teachers. Course assumes no prior experience. Primary resource will be OSPI’s STEM Robotics 101 resource for EV3 by Randy Steele.
This course will qualify for 12 WA STEM clock hours for $24.
Target Audience: Elementary Teachers grades 3-6. Teachers K-12 are welcome but the focus will be on the upper elementary level.
Course fee includes lunch. While best effort has been made to ensure there are food options to meet everyone’s needs, individuals with dietary restrictions may wish to bring supplemental food/snack items for the day.
