PLC's at Work
Guiding teams to close the achievement gap
Administered by Cashmere
Presenters
- Rhett Morgan
- Sean McKenna
Description
The following days will be devoted to guide each teacher team to successfully answer the four guiding questions of a PLC:
1. What do we expect our students to learn?
2. How will we know they are learning?
3. How will we respond when they don't learn?
4. How will we respond if they already know it?
We will use the strategies and procedures outlined in the book, "Learning by Doing" by Richard Dufour to identify Essential Standards, create Common Formative Assessment, and identify a Tiered approach to interventions and enrichment. The presenter will lead each team through the book and provided guided work to implement the foundational concepts in the text.
Event Notes
Each participant and team will leave the course with identified Essentials and Common Formative Assessments that will guide them in the classroom in ELA and Math.
