In this training, participants will be learning the rationale behind the method of discrete trial training, an evidenced based model for students with autism spectrum disorders. As many of our districts across the Yakima Valley have purchased the STAR program, a discrete trial program for their classrooms, this training will offer the opportunity for teachers to gain confidence to open the box and get started.  Teachers will learn the important terminology, how to collect data to mark progress and have the opportunity to see what it looks like through video clips while practicing the process with a peer.
