Description

This is a recording of the webinar with Dr. Ross Greene, held on 12/14/23.

Dr. Ross Greene developed the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) model as an alternative to "discipline-as-usual" behavioral intervention strategies. In comparison to reactive interventions with the goal of behavior modification, CPS focuses on cooperative and practical solution-making. The CPS model has transformed thinking and practices worldwide in various services and has been associated with dramatic reductions in adult-child conflict, school suspensions and exclusions, restraint and isolation use, and other harmful responses to students.

In this training, Dr. Greene provides an overview of the CPS model, including: the nuances of assessment and engaging students in solving the problems that affect their lives, and strategies to utilize the model to reduce restraints and eliminate isolation.
