Densho's Executive Director Naomi Ostwald Kawamura will explore how shared memory is passed down through generations, how it shapes community identity, and the broader work of memory. Drawing on examples from historical events like the Holocaust and Japanese American incarceration, we’ll examine the complexity of memory, the importance of memory in the digital age, and the challenges it faces today.
Washington state teachers will earn one clock hour for attendance at the Zoom presentation.
