This fully asynchronous course utilizes the education podcast "Let's K12 Better" to study the impacts of play on learning and identify how play matters to equitable learning environments and outcomes in schools. Participants will listen to the podcast episode "Let's Talk About Education, Play, and Equity with Karyn Allee, PhD," where host Amber Coleman-Mortley and her kids interview Allee on how play is tied in with social emotional development, brain development, and equity in schools. Completion of the course offers an opportunity to purchase 2 clock hours in Equity or Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

Deadline:  Participants must complete this session in Canvas by September 15, 2025. Course attendance is taken on an on-going basis after participants finish, often within 3-5 days, though during rush periods and holiday breaks please be aware it may take up to 2 weeks.
