Title of Program: Diabetes in School Health ECHO Teleconferencing Program Meeting times for all dates will be 3-4 PM.

October 16, 2024; November 20, 2024; December 11, 2024; January 15, 2025; February 19, 2025; March 19, 2025; April 17, 2025; May 21, 2025

Clock hours- 1 hour per session- 8 session in total (There will be a Smartsheet link that we will post at every session. If you do not fill it out, YOU WILL NOT GET THE CLOCK HOURS FOR THAT SESSION. We must have proof of attendance for clock hours to be provided.)

Summary: Diabetes in School Health is a monthly diabetes health Project ECHO teleconferencing program with the target audience being school nurses and school personnel who care for students with diabetes.  The format for the presentation will be approximately 10-15 minutes of instruction by a diabetes speaker/expert, followed by 45-50 minutes of discussion between presenter and participants. The care of a student with diabetes is complex and time consuming.   Participant will gain knowledge that will enable them to support a newly diagnosed student, a student working on gaining independence, school staff involved in care and get updates on the ever-changing technology used in diabetes management. Join us for this interactive discussion.  Knowledge gained can be immediately applied to practice in a school setting.

Objectives: Participants will have a greater understanding of

• Diabetes care and management: 
• Writing, implementing and evaluating a diabetes care plan
• Technology used in diabetes management

Target Audience- School Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and other staff involved in providing care to students with Diabetes
