Description
All educators desire to see each student learn, grow, and reach their full potential. The "Road to Distinguished" course series reinforces the practices necessary to make a significant impact on student learning. You are invited to participate with a spirit of adventure, a desire to grow, and a willingness to change.
This online Canvas course focuses on the Student Growth Goal aspects of the Teacher/Principal Evaluation Program (TPEP). Specifically, the course will help participants understand how practices called out in the Student Growth Goal rubrics can strengthen wider teacher practice to support student learning.
In this course you will:
- Gain a contextual understanding of how Student Growth Goal (SGG) processes work within the wider Teacher / Principal Evaluation Program (TPEP)
- Learn about how Student Growth Goal (SGG) rubrics have shifted, leading to new processes
- Discover how six Critical Attributes of Student Growth within the rubrics support student and teacher growth
- Uncover ways to move toward clear, consistent, and convincing "Distinguished" practice
- Explore how the Student Growth Goal (SGG) rubrics relate to educational frameworks and key texts
