Description
Washington State’s goal is to increase the percentage of students with disabilities, including those with extensive support needs, who are meaningfully included in general education settings and instruction in the general education curriculum. Envisioning an inclusive IEP is one step – implementing it is another. Underlying both is the collaboration required to bring the various components together.
This webinar will focus on using a new OSPI resource, Comprehensive Inclusive Education in Washington, to write and implement inclusive IEPs for all students with disabilities with a specific focus on students with extensive support needs. This resource provides step-by-step guidance and tools with examples/non-examples, the story of a student with extensive support needs in general education, additional resources, and its linkage to Washington regulations. Join us to understand the four-step process and consider how to use it in your school and district.
