Join us for an evening of fun in exploring the New Plants kit which is supported by our new 1^st grade NGSS storyline unit titled "Inspired by Nature." Learn how to use your kit materials to engage students in the driving question: "How can we use our understanding of nature to help our family solve a problem?" The training will prepare teachers to implement NGSS-aligned instruction that uses integrated practices (ex. use of storybooks and high leverage instructional routines) to promote science literacy for all students. Teachers will learn about new books, materials and activities added in the kit in addition to learning how to use the FOSS materials that accompany the kit to provide students with an instruction that is authentic and engaging. NOTE: you may attend the session virtually if you are not able to attend in-person.
