This course is part of the “ESD 105’s Computer Science Getting Acquainted” series, designed to acquaint educators with various bots and devices that can be used to introduce, teach, and support Computer Science topics such as computational thinking, coding, problem-solving, and more! Suitable for all grade-level educators with any level of STEM, STEAM, or Computer Science teaching experience.

Become acquainted with Makey Makey, an innovative invention kit that provides hands-on learning experiences by turning everyday objects like Play-Doh and bananas into touchpads! You’ll learn about various plug-and-play apps, from checking for conductivity to playing the bongos and piano to using Scratch coding to program a paper guitar. At the end of the course, you'll identify an idea you could incorporate into your classroom. Participants will also become familiar with the newly forming Computer Science Lending Library at ESD 105.
