Description
Are you curious how you could introduce students to Computer Science in a fun and manageable way in 1 hour on a day of your choosing this school year? Perhaps you need help planning a STEM/Computer Science/coding themed event for students and their families?
This completely online, asynchronous professional learning opportunity will familiarize you with free, online resources for coding activities and will guide you through preparing a "ready to implement" 1-hour coding activity.
This opportunity is suitable for those new to coding and those who had previously provided a coding activity in their classroom/school and would like to refresh/revise their approach. Participants will be introduced to Hour of Code® resources freely available from Code.org, including unplugged" (no computer or device required), computer/device-based activities, and AI-related activities.
Hour of Code® and Hora del Código® are registered trademarks of Code.org. The Hour of Code ® is a nationwide initiative by Code.org to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming.
