This training is part 2 of a 3-part series that will provide participants with a holistic understanding of what diversity, equity and inclusion in education  look like in "the real world." It is highly recommended that you do the Events in order: 1, 2, then 3. However they can be done individually or out of order.

In Module 2 participants connect history and society to the outcomes of our communities and how those outcomes create biases in our systems, ourselves, students, community members, and staff.

Participants will reflect on and explore their own biases. They will learn how to build awareness and reduce biases. Lastly they will engage in exploring how practical actions around data, learning partnerships, engagement, and coalition building can build more awareness to increase student and community outcomes.

Registration will be through pdEnroller, while the work will be done through the CANVAS learning platform.

WORK/ATTENDANCE VALIDATIONS WILL HAPPEN ONCE A MONTH DURING THIS TIME FRAME.

 ALL WORK MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE FEBRUARY 28, 2025. UNFINISHED WORK WILL NOT COUNT TOWARDS CLOCK HOURS.

• Clock Hours will be awarded monthly (or sooner as possible) upon completion of the ONLINE Canvas course and completion of the final Survey in the Canvas Course.

• Participants complete this ONLINE course in WAESD Canvas at their own pace.
