Description
This may be the most lively book study you have ever participated in! Join us as we explore Math on The Move: Engaging Students in Whole Body Learning by Malke Rosenfeld. Don't expect to just read about engaging the whole body in learning, though...we will offer opportunities for participants to engage with the text through physical movement. This course will include synchronous sessions in which participants can try out the strategies in this book and see learning in action in real classrooms. Along with the synchronous sessions, we will utilize Canvas to allow participants to explore each chapter in more depth- and just maybe we will work in opprortunities to move here, too! This book was written for K-6 classrooms and we welcome PK-8 general ed and specialist teachers to join us! There are up to 15 STEM Clock Hours available for participants.
Math on the Move must be purchased separately in print or ebook format.
