Description
Do you have a school garden that you are interested in using with your students, but don't feel like you have gardening expertise? Are you looking for ways to build a connection with nature for your students through outdoor learning experiences? Do you want to connect and collaborate with other educators to foster outdoor learning for all students? This workshop is designed to support teachers that are interested in utilizing the outdoor learning spaces on their school campus, and are looking for tools and resources to best support student learning.
This workshop includes 3 synchronous sessions on Zoom and some asynchronous work to complete before each session.
Session 1 (1/23/23) - Taking Kids Outside: Outdoor Classroom Management
Session 2 (2/6/23) - Using Your Outdoor Learning Spaces
Session 3 (2/28/23) - Connections to Classroom Learning
The Taking Learning Outside workshop is a partnership of Lower Columbia Nature Network, Lower Columbia School Gardens, Master Gardener Program at Washington State University Extension, and ESD 112.
