Description
Prerequisites: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3
This is a module of the Exploring STEM series. In this fully asynchronous Canvas course, we will explore a variety of activities that support students in developing a deeper understanding of STEM concepts. Some of the frameworks we will cover include the Engineering Design Process, Claims Evidence Reasoning (CER), scientific modeling, and the formative assessment cycle. You will have the opportunity to reflect on how you can use these practices in your classroom to increase rigor, promote scientific discussion, and help students achieve mastery of content.
Asynchronous: The class is delivered entirely online through a LMS. Students may complete these classes at their own pace.
Canvas: Online Learning Management System (LMS) similar to Blackboard, D2L, or Google Classroom
