In this year-long cohort, Teacher Librarians who are new to the library (but not necessarily to teaching) will meet in Zoom to focus on topics specifically relevant to school library media programs.  They will be paired with experienced mentors to help support them in their first year in the library.  Our goal is to nurture the next “generation” of School Library Leaders and ensure that all WA Teacher Librarians have the tools needed to run successful school library programs.

The course will meet synchronously in Zoom throughout the year.  The August session will be 2 hours, and subsequent sessions would be 1 hour, with breakouts based on grade levels (elementary/secondary) and areas of need.  The expectation would be that the mentors/mentees are also meeting monthly for at least 30 minutes each month (August-May, 8 times=4 hours).
