Session 1: Cyber 101, Ransomware and Phishing Awareness (8:50 AM - 10:00 AM)
This introductory session will cover fundamental cybersecurity concepts and focus on prevalent threats including:
- Ransomware Fundamentals: Understanding how ransomware works, recent attack trends, and essential prevention strategies
- Phishing Awareness: Identifying sophisticated phishing attempts and implementing best practices to avoid becoming a victim
- Business Email Compromise (BEC): Recognizing BEC tactics and understanding how these targeted attacks aim to manipulate legitimate business processes
- Smishing (SMS Phishing): Learning to spot text message-based scams and understanding how they differ from traditional phishing
- IT Support Fraud: Identifying fake technical support scams and understanding social engineering techniques used by attackers
Session 2: Current Cyber Threats and How to Stay Safe Online (10:15 AM - 11:30 AM)
This advanced session will dive deeper into the current threat landscape and provide actionable security measures:

- Password Management: Best practices for creating and managing strong, unique passwords
