Description

Whether you’re already familiar with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) but haven’t had the time to think through implementation strategies or whether you are brand new to UDL, join us for a series, based on Jennifer Pusateri’s recent book, that will help transform your teaching with UDL.

In this hybrid series, we will look at the conditions for shifting our educator mindsets to UDL, how we can prepare ourselves to create inclusive learning opportunities for all students in our class,  and we will share tools to help us plan intentionally to “teach to the edges” using practical design approaches and UDL-aligned strategies.  Participants will have the opportunity to choose to learn about one or more approaches to lesson planning (Plus 1, Troubleshooting, and/or Journey mapping).  After self-selecting a preferred approach, we’ll try our hands at applying the approaches through the UDL guidelines, checkpoints, strategies, and reflection processes.  We’ll close the series with a celebration and sharing of our work together.  (We are open to continuing the series with additional rounds of lesson planning and practice with this cohort).

Space is limited to allow presenters to tailor feedback and provide support for participants.
