Stage 2


Over the course of four days, participants will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the Danielson Framework for Teaching by collaboratively applying the framework and rubric in a formative and summative process. By the end of this stage, participants will have the capacity to:  

  • apply framework language to observation and analysis of teaching practice. 

  • develop skills for providing feedback supported by framework language that support teacher growth and development.

  • build additional understanding of the Washington TPEP Summative Evaluation Process.


Intended Audience: Principals, Assistant Principals, and central office staff who evaluate teachers under the TPEP evaluation system.

In the 24 clock hours that are provided, participants may claim up to 24 leadership clock hours and up to 8 equity clock hours (not to exceed the total hours of the training series). Equity clock hours are aligned to CCDEI Standards 1a (Understanding Self), 1b (Understanding Others), 1c (Responsiveness), 2a (Relationships), 2c (Service), 3b (Collaboration), 4a (Self-Reflection), 4b (Commitment), 4c (Advocacy).

For all instructional frameworks, the stage 1 & 2 training aligns to the following PSEL standards: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Event Notes

To be considered fully trained, administrators need to participate in ALL two days of Stage I and four days of Stage II for a total of SIX days

 

All readings and handouts will be sent to you as email attachments a few days before the session.  

There will be about 2 hours of independent work to do for each training day -  a combination of reading and watching videos - some done in advance to prepare for each day’s session, and some assigned during the break between same day sessions.   Each day will follow this schedule:  Synchronous online work from 8:30-10:30ish am; asynchronous work and lunch from 10:30ish am to 1:30 pm; Synchronous online work from 1:30-3:30 pm for a total of 6 hours per day.
