Description
PAX/Good Behavior Game is a trauma-informed system that helps students self-regulate. By implementing PAX in the classroom, students learn social emotional skills that help them focus so that they have better learning outcomes. Teachers who implement PAX in their classrooms find they have more teaching time due to reduced transition time, fewer student disruptions, and higher student focus on instruction.
PAX Good Behavior Game (GBG) Teacher Induction promotes development of skills and strategies to:
• Reduce transition time and student response time
• Increase task completion and decrease time students need to complete tasks in and out of the classroom
• Regulate individual and group behavior and increase students’ focus during instruction
• Increase positive/pro-social behaviors
• Create predictive expectations with students for behavior
• Increase students’ ability to self-regulate to meet the changing demands of the classroom environment
