During the workshop, participants will experience hand-on field investigations to practice ho to guide students applying Science and Engineering Practices and Identifying Crosscutting Concepts to uncover Science content as authentically as possible (STEM). Participants will be introduced to science tools that measure, magnify, and provide Scientific data to inform their conclusions and cement cognitive connections (SM). Participants will be informed by professionals in their fields: biologists, Audubon bird watchers, and environmental educators, and will occupy the roles of scientists themselves (S + Careers). 

This full day of professional development will help you prepare your students for their Wetland Explorers Science Unit and Field Experience in the Spring of 2025.
