This course will focus on the foundational work of building an Equitable MTSS framework within your school building. The course will walk alongside the book “Leading Equity-Based MTSS for all Students” by Amy McCart and Dawn Miller; and will provide opportunities to apply the new learning to your MTSS journey.

This training is targeted towards leadership teams at the building level - representative of the whole staff, as well as those who have authority to make systems changes. Building MTSS capacity in your school organization is founded on team-driven shared leadership in order to create sustainable, effective, and systematic changes.

• Each session will be held via Zoom for 90 minutes, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm (8 sessions total.) The sessions will be held on monthly basis, on the 3rd Wednesday of each month
• There is no cost to attend, however each team member will need to purchase a copy of the book "Leading Equity-Based MTSS for all Students" by Amy McCart & Dawn Miller.
• The goal of this training is to provide information, resources, and time to workshop actionable items for a building to begin their MTSS work. This series will provide opportunities to cross-collaborate outside of your PLC, as well as within, to begin framing the Multi-Tiered System of Supports in your climate and culture.

By the end of this workshop series, building teams will be able to:

• Create a working definition of MTSS
• Create a PD for whole staff integrating MTSS within existing climate and culture
• Conduct a resource mapping to determine strengths and weaknesses
• Become fluent in the creation of Tiered Instruction Matrices
• Re-construct a master schedule to demonstrate values, beliefs, attitudes, and priorities
• Create a priorities planning form evaluating current programs through an MTSS lens
