Description

This full-day event at NEWESD 101 in Spokane, WA will give you the time, space, and support you need to plan for meaningful K-12 Media Literacy, Digital Literacy, and Digital Citizenship implementation as the foundation of safe, ethical, and appropriate AI use in your school or district.

This event is designed for all educators, including all levels of administration, instructional coaches, and teachers across all subjects and grade levels. Attending with a team is beneficial, but individuals are also welcome.

We will explore the skills involved with media, digital, and AI literacy, as well as digital citizenship, clarifying their connections to content standards.  Participants will review resources to support student learning in these literacies, including content-specific resources across the K-12 continuum.

Then, participants will focus on the K-12 progression from foundational digital skills to dynamic AI use. Participants will apply the ideas from the first part of the day to create a product specific to your role and your district’s needs.

With dedicated work time and tailored feedback, attendees will leave with a clear understanding and actionable plans for fostering ethical and responsible AI use in schools.

If sub fees are a barrier to attendance, a limited number of sub reimbursements may be available. Information and request form link will be available on the Attendee Page after you register for the event. O
