Hear from districts who will share a conversation between an administrator and teacher talking through a post-observation/post-SGG reflection discussion. You will hear how they have implemented the Revised SGG and completed observations within ONE Unit of study.

Purpose: NEWESD’s version of the Teacher Learning Labs is designed to be more discussion-focused than presentation-focused and to help both the presenting district's participants and those from other districts learn how to support and grow meaningful SGG conversations between administrators and teachers. Teacher Leadership Labs are intended to be a means for sharing ideas cross-districts.

Components: The key piece to the Lab are fishbowl discussions. The first fishbowl discussion is for the members of the presenting districts team to further explore and explain their idea and journey toward implementing their teacher leadership idea. It is helpful to precede this fishbowl by having the team give a short overview of their project or idea. During this first fishbowl, participants from other districts and invited guests listen to the conversation and take notes.
