Description

This professional development will be for math teachers and paras working with migrant students and families to learn about Nepohualtzintzin. Nepohualtzintzin is a didactic method for teaching math that can be used from preschool to higher levels. This inclusive, intercultural math tool (Nepo for short) will uplift the funds of knowledge of Indigenous Aztec/Mexica math tools/concepts/algorithms. Teachers will leave the training with a Nepo math tool and create lessons to support their student's math and STEM learning. 

Completion of this course offers the opportunity to purchase 6.5 clock hours in Equity or STEM.
