GLAD Next Gen^™ is a learner-centered environment, which can be provided as an introduction to the OCDE Preschool GLAD^® model, it is also taken as a refresher, or as a follow-up for those who have previously taken Preschool GLAD®. GLAD Next Generation^® focuses on some of the most dynamic Preschool GLAD^® strategies with a highly interactive approach where participants will actively participate in observing strategies, practice delivery of strategies and engage in collaborative planning. Educators will deepen their knowledge about how language is acquired and will learn strategies that promote language development. Teachers will also practice using the focus strategies within their own classroom and bring samples of their implementation of the strategies to the next session as an opportunity to reflect on the student learning outcomes. GLAD Next Generation® for Preschool GLAD® focuses on instructional routines that align with the linguistic skills and demands found in the WIDA ELD Framework.
