Description
Many educators have a great deal of anxiety when it comes to Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). We don’t think that AI is our Enemy, but we know that many educators do! In this workshop, we will start from the beginning to help educators:
- Know Your “Enemy” (AI Basics): Using AI to Test-Drive Assignments and Prompts
- Befriend Your “Enemy” (AI as a Teacher Support): Using AI to Co-create and Refine Assignments, Prompts, Examples/Exemplars, and Rubrics
- Recruit Your “Enemy” (AI as a Student Support): Using AI to Support Student Writing (Feedback, Student support for brainstorming and pre-writing)
This introductory AI course is presented in a blended learning format with 3 hours of asynchronous work in Canvas and 4.5 hours of synchronous live sessions on Zoom (three 1.5-hour sessions). All parts of the course are required for clock hours.
Zoom Sessions (Mandatory): January 14, 21, 28, 4:30 - 6:00 PM
