Purpose and Goals
More districts are adapting or developing their own OER core instructional material. This creates a tremendous opportunity for sharing developed resources and reducing the need to recreate material from scratch. However, often times, these materials are limited to use within the district or they need just a bit of work to get them ready for open licensing.

This session is an opportunity to bring a developed unit for a work session focused on the following goals:

• Review district materials that have been adapted or developed for adherence to existing resource licenses or confirmed permission to use resource
• Replace any “all rights reserved” copyrighted images, charts, articles, etc. with openly licensed options
• Ensure proper attribution has been provided and clearly indicate any areas that will not fall under open license
• Apply an open license to district created materials
• Add links to developed resources on the Washington OER Commons Hub
