This two-session online training on Answering Students’ Questions focuses on use of the FLASH Values Question Protocol (VQP). 

Day 1 will cover the VQP model through completion of two self-paced learning modules and preparation for session 2. 

Day 2 will be a virtual instructor-led session on values and boundaries, including practice answering questions. 

Participants must complete self-paced modules to attend day 2 of training. Clock hours will be provided only after full participation on both days

This six hour (two day) training will provide you with tools and practice to respond to students’ questions related to sex and sex ed.  By the end of the training, participants should be able to:

• Identify various types of student questions
• Discuss strategies for answering different types of student questions.
• Recognize the importance of maintaining clear boundaries when delivering sex education
• Describe the steps to the FLASH Values Question Protocol and recognize when to apply it.
• Demonstrate how to give full, helpful, and affirming answers to challenging questions.
