Description
Providing the right kind of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to school staff members and implementing up to date RPP protocols have added to the complexity of responding to the COVID pandemic for many school districts.
This workshop by Labor and Industries consultants in collaboration with OSPI will enable participants to implement a Respiratory Protection Program in their district or school. Participants will receive a template for creating or updating their RPP for airborne pathogens such as SARS-like viruses as part of their exposure control plan and help them prepare for current and potential future respiratory illnesses.
This workshop will cover:
- Respiratory Protection Plans (RPP) overview-Components of a Respiratory Protection Plan (RPP)
- Medical clearance of staff for fit testing
- Fit-testing resources: Vendors, training, problem solving
- Review the existing guidance for COVID-19 required PPE (Which Mask for Which Task)
- PPE use and reuse and when to retest
- Employee training and resources
- L&I Consultation
