This four-hour virtual training will prepare participants to serve as professional interpreters in an educational setting. It covers the fundamentals of professional interpreting, provides opportunities to practice in this role, and offers resources such as the code of ethics, professionalism tips, and information around how to become certified as an interpreter. It also includes a discussion of balancing different roles that interpreters may play at a school or district, such as also serving as a family liaison.
