Over the course of two days, participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the CEL 5D Instructional Framework & 5D+ Rubric for Instructional Growth and Teacher Evaluation. By the end of this stage, participants will:

• understand the state context, expectations, implementation timeline
• understand connections between the teacher evaluation criteria and the principal evaluation criteria
• understand how the structure and vocabulary of the CEL 5D Instructional Framework & 5D+ Rubric for Instructional Growth and Teacher Evaluation supports the Washington criteria for teacher evaluation
• understand the role of multiple sources of evidence in observation, feedback and goal setting

Intended Audience: Principals, Assistant Principals, and central office staff who evaluate teachers under the TPEP evaluation system.
