Description
We are excited to offer a dynamic professional development series, "Back to the Basics," designed to delve into effective instructional strategies that promote student engagement and ensure accessibility for all. This series provides a choice of focus areas, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Station Teaching, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Choice Boards, all rooted in the principles shared in the book *The Shift to Student-Led*. As educators, your engagement in this teacher-driven initiative will guide your professional learning experience, facilitated by Erin Dorso and Carrie LaRoy.
Over the course of seven months, from September to March each focus group will participate in a monthly 30-minute session. These interactive sessions aim to introduce and implement innovative instructional strategies. Each group will choose a specific strategy to implement and will present their findings and data in subsequent sessions. This structured approach encourages a continuous cycle of learning, application, and reflection, essential for both professional development and instructional success.
By participating in this workshop, you can earn valuable clock hours while actively contributing to your professional growth and enhancing student outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to redefine classroom engagement and inclusivity through practical application and collaborative learning. Secure your participation today and join us in making a meaningful impact on our educational practices!
